Welcome message from the Workshop’s Chairs

On behalf of the Organizing Committee and the International Scientific Committee, we welcome you to the 10th European Workshop on Structural Health Monitoring (EWSHM 2020). This Workshop represents a forum where experts from around the world discuss the latest advancements and breakthroughs in the field of SHM and more broadly in the fields of nondestructive evaluation, smart materials and intelligent systems. The Workshop fosters the discussion and identification of key and emerging challenges and opportunities in research, development, and field applications.

We are thrilled to announce that we received an overwhelming number (600+) of abstracts from nearly 50 different Countries. A large fraction of these abstracts was submitted to one of the 35 Special Sessions promoted by true leaders in their respective fields. As quality is one of our top priorities, all the abstracts and the conference papers will be reviewed. The abstract Acceptance notice will be sent by January 31st while those that will submit a conference paper, after abstract acceptance, will have until March 31 to upload their paper. The Workshop proceedings will be published in a dedicated Volume edited by Springer, indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.

Early bird registration is now open until March 31st 2020.  We remind the policy: 1 registration, 1 oral presentation.

We want to remind that Sponsorship and Exhibition opportunities are available. All opportunities will get your company recognized and make your company stand out as an industry leader! Contact the Workshop Secretariat at Mrs. Giusy Ventura: giusy.ventura@collage-spa.it today to take advantage of what promises to be one of the most attended Workshop in SHM.

While we are working hard to make this Event a professional success for everyone, we are also working to provide a unique travel experience for the delegates and their loved ones during their stay in one of the most suggestive parts of Southern Italy. We could not be happier when we read that the New York Times (https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/travel/places-to-visit.html ) ranked Sicily #7 among the “52 places to go in 2020”. We suggest you to visit the Travel info section of the website to get important updates on the matter, including interesting post-conference Tours http://www.ewshm2020.com/leisure-time/ .

If you have questions please do not hesitate to contacting us or any of the Organizing Committee members.
